Teachers and administrators have been extremely strict about students eating in classes.

Students need time to relax at school. If we were able to catch up with our friends during breaks, we would be less likely to talk during class or sneak snacks.

Since MHS administrators have been cracking down on eating in classrooms, more and more students have been losing concentration due to extreme hunger.

For people like me who can’t live without food, it is extremely hard to go from 7:30 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. without any food and only water. That is five and a half hours. If a person is running late and is unable to eat breakfast, he or she may have to go 18 hours without food.

Senior Leslie Adams said,  “I would really appreciate having a break between second period and third period. I think it’s good for people to regain their energy so they can be more prepared and productive for their next classes.”

I would rather have lunch reduced by 10-15 minutes and have a 10 min break.
