To be a good “Aussie,” you have to use typical slang words, eat weird food like Vegemite on toast, watch sports like AFL and Cricket and love scary wild  animals and bugs.

Common slangs that are in the Land Down Under are “G‘day, Mate,” “Fair dimkum  mate” (For real?), “Flat out” (Putting everything into something), “Let’s go and have a cuppa” (Let’s get  a coffee), “Can’t be bothered” (to tired to do it), “No worries mate” (It’s fine), “Let’s have a Barbie” (let’s have a barbecue), “Taking a sickie” (take a day off work) and “Ow ya goin'” (How are you).

Aussie’s love there Sunday barbie’s with a game of sports on the big screen. Some famous sports that they love are AFL (Australian Football League), Cricket, Rugby and Soccer.

To be an Aussie, you have to eat like one too. Meat pies, Sausage rolls, Weat-bix, Vegemite on toast, Sausage sizzles and Chops on the Barbie are the most common eats.

And lastly you have to love caravans, fishing, driving all over Australia and sharing your tent with wild animals and scary spiders.
