Girls should join McIntosh football team
There is a law stating that girls have the right to join boys on the football field, so why don’t they?
Stereotypes have existed for years. They come in all different categories, but one of the most common ones is that football is just for boys.
However, I believe that girls should have a chance to play football. Girls should be recognized and supported just as much as boys It is unfair to think that females are too weak and wouldn’t be able to tackle a man because they are capable of this.
Junior Natalie Stembridge said, “I think more girls should participate in boys’ football because football is not just for boys and girls can get aggressive too.” Senior Emily Miller said, “Girls should have more courage to play football too because they also have the strength and aggressiveness that guys have to play.”
With a male perspective, Junior Noah Niedzwiecki said, “I think that if with enough support the school should start a females football team. If there is not enough for an entire team, then those who want to join the men on the field should be encouraged to.”
The next big thing to happen at McIntosh High School should be the participation of girls on the football team.

Girls should be able to join the football team as like a kicker or manager because girls have an unfair advantage, because a guy is not going to tackle a girl at full speed. But i do think allot of girls are capable of doing the workouts and making the team.

I agree with the author. If girls are willing and capable of playing as well as the male football players, they should be encouraged to try out for the football team. The stereotypical view of female football players is entirely false. Females can have the same amount of strength and aggression as a male football player. However, if girls do end up joining, they should be required to do the same workouts, drill, etc. to level the playing field.

I very much agree with this article. Why wouldn’t be girls be able to play football? Gender should not determine weather you have the capability to play a certain sport or not. They have male cheerleaders so why not have female football players. If the school did decide to have a female football team, I would definitely support the McIntosh High School Women football team!
