Students should spread kindness
People go through difficult times, whether they show it or not. What they need is a random act of kindness.
Sometimes putting a box of chocolates on a fellow student’s table with a little card saying something good about him or her can make that person feel warm inside. This act will not only make their day better, but also will also help the person who performed the random act of kindness. Giving to others makes someone feel good.
Being kind to others in the workplace or at school can give someone a good name and respect. Having respect from others is good because people will listen to those whom they respect and take their opinions seriously.
When a student applies for a job or to a college and his or her application is full of charity work, such helping out with orphaned children or giving food to homeless people at a shelter, these acts of kindness will make him or her stand out and get accepted. People in the workplace appreciate the kindness of someone, and they will want to be kind, too. Students will exist in a happier environment and with more positive people.
Smiling at an old person, helping someone with their groceries, opening a door for a person, talking with a child or asking someone how their day was are all little acts of kindness.
So Chiefs, please spread the kindness around McIntosh and do something nice for somebody.

I completely agree with the statement this staff writer is publishing out. There are so many people, whether they go to school, clubs, etc., that deserve to experience simple acts of kindness. I constantly smile or wave to students that pass me through the hall, and I receive the gestures back at me. I know that I enjoy when kindness is shown to me, and so I try to express kindness to close or new people that i meet. I also agree with the writer’s opinion about a happier environment occurs, if kindness is spread around the world. If everyone shares kindness in simple ways to their peers, themselves, family, and many others, the whole community will be shared with happier and kinder people. The community will be filled with people wanting to change the unhappiness in the world, and spread a more cheerful and positive attitude to their surroundings. I try to share simple or large acts of kindness and good deeds to make the world around me a better or happier place, and I agree that everyone should follow the same way of living.

I completely agree with your opinion on this subject. But why limit it to just school or at work? Spreading joy, happiness, and kindness is something we should do all day every day no matter the time or place or whom we are with.

I agree with this wonderful sentiment because not only does it help the giver and the receiver, but also the people around them become hard pressed to be kind as well. This makes everyone in the community more kind to each other. Less harm will befall people. Everyone, or at least most people will feel loved and appreciated. If someone is having a bad day, they obviously want someone to be kind to them, and that someone could be you. So be kind to those around you and give everyone the chance to have a great day!
