Activities
We are on week 5 of the 2024 senior assassin game, with less than a 40 players remaining. While the game is likely coming to a close soon, if it continues into the end of may rounds will be adjusted to be more competitive. Purges will now be without goggles, vests or floaties as a safety with all other rules still in play.
Events
The senior timeline has been released and sent through email. May is a busy month, with so many deadlines, graduation practice times to keep an eye on, and graduation parties to schedule, plan or attend, so have a way to keep track of events and stay organized.
Senior brunch is the next prominent activity, with a modified schedule from previous year due to AP exam conflicts. The new schedule that starts drumout at 11 AM will allow students to have senior activities and participate in the drumout, and then take the exams after.
The traditional parade and ‘shaving cream fight’ has also been moved to accommodate seniors taking an AP exam that day, at 4 PM.
AP Exams are also underway, leaving very few real school days left for senior with multiple exams. Get assignments turned in and use those days as best as possible, for academics as well as final memories of being in high school.
Deadlines
As the year comes to a close and honor cords are being distributed, volunteer-based organizations or societies like Beta Club have upcoming deadlines for submitting hours and fulfilling the hour requirements. Start checking in with expected honor cords to make sure everything is set for graduation.
College
Commitment deadlines as well as actions required for housing, meal plans, registration and orientation are being released and are time sensitive. If you haven’t been looking at your email, now is crucial.
