In an email from the Fayette County School District sent to students and parents yesterday evening, what was supposed to be a regular school day On Friday, Jan. 12 has turned into a virtual learning day. The complete statement from the district:
Based on the latest information from the National Weather Service and Fayette County Emergency Services regarding the likelihood for severe weather tomorrow between noon and 6 p.m, Fayette County Public Schools will observe a digital learning day Friday, Jan. 12.
All 240 employees should report at their regularly scheduled time. Students should log on to their Schoology accounts to access their assignments from their teachers.
All school-related and extracurricular activities are canceled on Friday.
