On Monday, Aug. 28, McIntosh had its first code red drill of the year during fifth period. McIntosh practices this drill at least once each year. Students were expected to be silent and take cover according to their teacher. Each classroom had its own room or area that is used for the class to hide during code red drills.
“In the case of any scenario this really does happen. We are trained what to do next, and what’s the next step,” sophomore CJ Boxhill said.
“I felt like it was really short and that kind of made it seem like an after thought almost. I didn’t feel like it was given the importance it deserved,” senior London Whilby said.
