UPDATED: Waffle House Partners with the McIntosh Trail for Fundraising Event

The McIntosh Trail has partnered with Waffle House in order to host a fundraising event for the
McIntosh Trail. The event will be held on Feb. 25 after school. Waffle House will be serving
waffles and hash browns. In order to participate in the event, one can buy a ticket during lunch
beforehand. Tickets will be sold during all lunch periods starting on Jan. 31 and ending on Feb.
11. The tickets will be six dollars that must be paid in cash, and once the payment is received
you will be given a physical ticket that you must keep with you until the event. The McIntosh
Trail is hoping to raise $200 in order to purchase items such as new camera equipment and
contribute towards our April 1 Satirical Edition.
With the purchase of a ticket, you will be given the choice of either eating the waffle and hash
brown in the senior cafeteria, or taking it to-go to take as a snack for at home. For frequent
Waffle House goers, one will know that a waffle and a hash brown for six dollars is a great deal,
as the normal price at the store is seven dollars. In addition to getting a dollar off, purchasing a
ticket will also give you the satisfaction of helping keep our print edition cost free as well as
investing in the skills of our photographers.
At the actual event, the McIntosh Trail will have tables stationed at the indoor entrance of the
senior cafeteria to collect tickets. Tickets may only be redeemed once and may only be used by
the student/faculty member with their name on file for the specific ticket purchased. In addition
to presenting a ticket, one must also show either their Infinite Campus or their student ID.
After entering the senior cafeteria, students may pick up their meal and eat it in the senior
cafeteria, or they may take it home and exit through the senior cafeteria courtyard exit.
