Sr. Lector Zamore’s Spanish IV students have begun to memorize a poem in order to perform it in front of the foreign language department in the auditorium. Some students will be selected to travel to Clemson University to compete with other schools in a recitation competition.
They have memorized “Presencia” by Jose Emilio Pacheco and are now memorizing “Si has perdido tu nombre” by Roberto Juarroz.
Sophomore Madi Boyles said, “I think it’s really cool that we get to learn things about Spanish culture, like poems.”
