Debate president Andrew Alter and vice president John Hamlin  qualified for the state debate tournament scheduled for March 2016.  Both competed during a tournament on Sept. 12 and qualified as semifinalists.

John also won a speaking award.  He said, “The award means a lot to me and is exciting to me on a personal level.  I’m excited to have qualified for state and believe our team can go far.”
