The McIntosh Debate team’s first tournament of the year will be September 12 in Houston County.  There they will debate whether or not African Americans should be provided reparations due to slavery in the past.

This year’s team has added many new members and has a new president, senior Andrew Alter.  When asked about the team this year, Andrew said, “I think we have a great group of young team members, and we had over 45 people at our first meeting.  It’s really an honor to be president and lead such an amazing group of devoted and intelligent young people.  I am very excited for the season, and I’m also excited to watch the team grow and improve as debaters and as human beings.”
