Mr. Joseph Jarrell, a McIntosh history teacher for over 27 years and a teacher for 36, took his first personal day ever today on May 5, 2015.

In his teaching career, Mr. Jarrell has been absent from his classroom a total of four times, including this personal day. However, he has always recorded himself teaching so that his classes could still take notes. Today, Mr. Jarrell has not recorded a lesson for his class. Of the four times he has been absent, Mr. Jarrell took two days away for his sister’s passing and one for his daughter’s birth.

Ms.Katherine Rudd, a former student of his, was his substitute.
