The PSAT was administered on October 15. Now students are receiving their scores through the United States Postal Service. The results should arrive during the break.

Sophomore Joie Zhou said, “My PSAT score will give me a general outlook on any subjects I need to work on before I attempt to take on the SAT. Although worrying about a set of numbers seems silly, PSAT scores prove incredibly important to me, especially since college entrances rely heavily upon academic achievements, such as the National Merit Scholarship Program and high SAT scores.”

Students can compare the scores on their PSATs to their projected scores on the SAT. The conversion rate is 10:1 (SAT to PSAT scores.) So multiplying the score of the PSAT by ten allows students to predict their overall SAT scores.

Sophomore Sean Gravely said, “The PSAT is great way to me to prepare for the full test. ”

As the full test approaches, sophomore Dylan Dodge said, “I am beginning to feel the pressure to do well because colleges look very closely at the score for acceptance.”
