Students visit Turner Broadcasting
A group of career tech students visited the Turner Broadcasting headquarters in Atlanta to participate in the Turner Voices program on Friday, March 25.
The Turner website states, “Through the financial support of organizations focused on high school-aged youth and the arts, and by leveraging our greatest assets — our people, products, technology and services — Turner Voices identifies and develops the next generation of storytellers.”
Led by technology teacher Mr. David Thomas, graphic and design teacher Ms. Lauren Bozone, and technology teacher Mr. Larry Singleton, the students were guided through the Turner campus and shown to various studios, including the sets of Sunday Best, Inside the NBA, and NBA TV. Students also had the opportunity to attend an informational panel discussion with animators, compilers, and script writers that work at Turner.
