Jackie Gray performs her co-written song “Teach Me How to Dream.”
McIntosh student Sophomore Jackie Gray co-wrote the song “Teach Me How to Dream” with Dana Lamb, teacher at Cleveland Elementary. Jackie and Dana Zellweger, teacher at Whitewater High School, performed the song at the Fayette County Teacher of the Year awards ceremony on Thursday, April 24.
The ceremony lasted from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and was held at New Hope Baptist South Campus.
Jackie said, “I was a little nervous, but the song turned out incredible.” The song consists of a student and teacher verse, and a a chorus that connects the two together.
