Feb. 7 deadline approaching for SCAD Junior Challenges
The deadline for all artistic submissions to SCAD Challenge for juniors is 5 p.m. on Feb. 7. There are two categories: 2-D and Photo.
According to scadchallenge.com, entered artwork and photography will be evaluated by a panel of judges, and three winners for each category will be selected. Winners will be notified by phone and email on Feb. 28.
Winners will receive scholarships to attend one of SCAD’s pre-college programs and be featured in a permanent online exhibit. Scholarship winners may put the funding toward the cost of attending either Pre-College: Rising Star or SCAD Summer Seminars. The first place Junior Platinum Award is $1100; the second place Junior Gold Award is $750; the third place Junior Silver Award is $350.
