Now that winter has taken its stronghold on the United States, especially the East, we have seen our fair share of cold weather already.  Beginning with a rare and unusual piece of the polar vortex breaking off from the North pole and affecting the East, Americans quickly became sick of the bitter cold temperatures that were plaguing the nation.

Bad news has arisen though as forecasters believe that Americans could face a second round of bitter cold. According to the Weather Channel, a smaller part of the polar vortex is forecasted to break off and once again affect parts of the East.  Friday morning began the bitter cold that is to be expected for a short amount of time. 

When talking to students and teachers about this, freshman Asaf Potashnik said, “It’s really cold, but the state of Georgia shouldn’t stop everything because of it.”  Teacher Mrs. Amanda Marino said, “I only like cold weather when it snows.”
