This Saturday and Sunday, March 2 and 3, Peachtree City got snowfall and flurries for the first time this year. It’s the latest snowfall in recent memory, and many people, such as myself, weren’t expecting snow at all this year after February. The snow was a surprise, and unfortunately didn’t stick too well to the warm ground.
There were flurries at the Panther Invitational track meet, and in North Atlanta several meets were canceled due to the weather. While watching the boys 4 by 800 meter relay, senior Alison Wilson said, “I can’t believe it’s actually snowing now during our first track meet.” The biggest complaint student athletes had was that it didn’t snow during the school week.
