Ava Flores is a staff member of the McIntosh Trail and this was her second year on staff. Flores is also the Editor-in-Chief for the McIntosh Legend Yearbook. Florez was a part of the staff during her sophomore and senior year. As a sophomore Florez published stories like “Afraid to “comeback:” high-level athletes recovering from injury” and during her Senior year, she created political podcast, “Red, Blue, and a lot to do” with co-podcaster CJ Boxhill.
Q: What was your contribution to McIntosh High School?
A: I played varsity volleyball for three years and varsity golf this year. I also am the two-time Legend Editor-In-Chief. And trail staff for two years.
Q: How have you made the Trail a better program? What was your contribution?
A: I hope that I just made it a brighter environment.
Q: What college do you plan on attending, and what will your major studies be?
A: GCSU for Journalism.
Q: What is your favorite memory from your years on the Trail staff?
A: My favorite memory is going to fun spot for the opening day of ArieForce One.
Q:What are you proudest of, in your time with the Trail?
A: I am proudest of this year’s yearbook and my trail story, “Afraid to Comeback” about my ACL injury.
Q: What words of wisdom do you have for the upcoming editors and staff?
A: It’s important to make a good product but it is even more important to have fun. And if your dreams don’t scare you, then your dreams aren’t big enough.
Q: Please provide a fun or interesting fact/hobby you have.
A: I play beach volleyball and love to read.
