May 23, is the last day of school for McIntosh students but is also the graduation date for the class of 2025. Most seniors are intrigued to see what the future brings.

“I am super excited to be finally done with school and I am excited to start the new chapter of my life in college even though it’s a little scary,” senior Mallory McKee said.

There are also students who can not wait for high school to end and are ready to start the next chapter in their lives. Students who plan to attend college are having to find a new normal.

“I’m so happy for school to be over. I am nervous to start college but I know it will be super fun,” senior Sydney Vetter said.

Events like the senior drum out and graduation have brought up some conversations. About what people’s lives are going to look like for the next few years. Many students still aren’t sure what their plans are. The last couple weeks are a lot lasts and some are not ready for it to end just yet.

“I’m sad high school is over but I’m excited to see what happens after,” senior Kalea Heil said.

Most of the senior class have been at McIntosh all four years of their high school experience. Even the same middle and elementary schools, so students have made many connections over the years.

“Being a senior, I’m definitely sad due to school ending, knowing that this will be the last time I’ll be in school with some of my friends and seeing everyone. But I’m so ready for summer to finally start and excited knowing I’ll be going to college in a few months,” senior Izabella Herrera said.
