The students in the SkillsUSA chapter traveled to Georgia International Convention Center to compete at the Next Level State competition from March 23-March 25. The chapter represented McIntosh well and won many different awards. Sophomore Leigh Wheeler won first place in pin design and will be traveling to the national level competition. Senior Moritz Meditz won second in t-shirt design. Finally, the quiz bowl SkillsUSA team placed third.

Senior Moritz Meditz said, “For me competing is about more than just winning. It is a chance to get to know new people with all different kinds of interests and who all strive for success. That is what I like most about SkillsUSA.”
