Over the past few years, McIntosh has invested in a number of Google Chromebooks for students to use as an educational tool. Chromebooks are small laptops that easily fit on students’ desks. Depending on the class, teachers are able to set up assignments that can be automatically submitted to the teacher when the student completes the assignment. AP Literature, AP Environmental Science, economics, and journalism are a few classes that make frequent use of this new technology. Many students enjoy using the Chromebooks because they allow students to work at their own pace and receive immediate feedback if the assignment is graded online.
Senior Abby Burke said, “I love the Chromebooks. They make my day more enjoyable because the assignments are different than the type I usually have to do. Chromebooks are the best.”
