Mcintosh students compete in mock stock market
Oct 4, 2016
McIntosh economics classes have begun the year by competing in The Stock Market Game. The game is a semester long competition where each student competes against the other students in his or her class.
Each student starts with $100,000 to spend on any stock he or she chooses and the ability to borrow up to $100,000 at any point during the semester. The students are ranked based on their daily net worth.
Senior Kevin McBride said, “It’s cool because it is very realistic and a fun way to learn economics and how the stock market works in real life.” At the end of the semester the overall first place winner receives two points on his or her semester average.
