Students debate preferred lunch periods
May 5, 2016

Students sit down to eat A lunch.
Out of the three lunch periods offered at McIntosh (A, B, and C), each has its own pros and cons. A lunch is the earliest lunch, which starts right after third period at 11:54 and ends at 12:24. B lunch happens in the middle of fourth period lasting from 12:28-12:58. C lunch is the last lunch of the day, happening right after fourth period and lasts from 1:03 to 1:33. Many student’s have mixed feelings about their designated lunch period.
Junior Emily Molander, who has A lunch, said, “I like A lunch because you get to eat first, so you are not hungry all day waiting for lunch. I would not want to have B or C lunch because I get hungry early in the day.”
Sophomore Kasey Porter who has B lunch said, ” I like B lunch better than A or C because it gives you a break in between class. I think A lunch starts too early and C lunch starts too late, so B lunch not only has the perfect timing, but also is less crowded due to the fact that students do not have to bring all their books to lunch because they can leave them in class. Overall, I enjoy having B lunch”
Sophomore Reina Garrett, who has C lunch, said, “I do not like C lunch because it happens at the end of the day. I would rather have B lunch because it is in the middle of class, and in the middle of the day, which is the time I normally eat lunch when school is out. I wouldn’t want A lunch because I feel as though eating lunch that early would make the day go by slower.”
