Some of Ms. Johanna Sharp’s French 3 students wrote out and then recited the poem, “Soyez Polis” by Jacques Prévert for extra credit points on Tuesday, April 12. The students have been working on their poem in groups for almost three weeks. Each group consisted of three people and each person was given a third of the poem to memorize.

The students familiarized themselves with the poem through translating the work to find out that the meaning. Ms. Sharp said that by being able to write out and recite the poem from memory students would improve the way they speak and write French.
