Mrs. Shery Kearney is trying a new approach for her students and their projects. Her students completed projects called RWWD, which including reading a book, watching a movie, writing on a certain prompt and doing an activity that pertained to the topic they selected.

Topics include politics, environment, language, gender, sports, education, economics, community and pop culture. This time, however, she has decided to try a new layout for the project. She had decided to allow her students to create videos in order to interpret their chosen topics. Students can choose to make a five to ten minute video that illustrates their topic that includes ” images–still and moving, sound–music and narration, text-captions and quotations.”

Junior Shelby Doyal said, “It’s really cool idea, and I’m excited to try it out. I think it’ll be really interesting to show our ideas in this new way.”
