What do students day dream about these days? Winning the lottery, of course. But then what would they do with that money? Well, students were very eager to answer this question. Some answers were touching while others were humorous.

Sophomore Afra Abdu said she would save up for college and help the homeless. She said, “I would end homelessness. So many people don’t have a home and food to put on the table.” She said with her leftover money, she would travel the world. Afra said that she believes that people with more money are not always happy. She said, “People become reliant on their money. Money cannot fix everything.” She said she believes money can change people, but she knows it wouldn’t change her.

Sophomore Anna Legan West said that she would travel to third world countries and build churches. She said, “I would want to spread God’s word. I’d build churches and homes. I would save up and go on mission trips.” She said with her leftover money, she would pass down her inheritance to her children. She said that if she won the lottery, her personality wouldn’t change. However, she said she believes other people can change. She also said she believes that not every rich person is happy or more happy that poorer people. She said, “If you have too much money, you forget to appreciate the small and simple things in life.”

Students of McIntosh show their personalities through their answers. The record breaking Powerball is a reminder for all that hope does exist.
