Students share thoughts on New Year’s resolutions

By creating New Year’s resolutions, people are able to set goals for the upcoming year to improve themselves as people.
According to the ancient-origins website, the tradition of making New Year resolutions has been around for over 4,000 years, since the time of the ancient Babylonians. However, over the years, New Year’s resolutions have become less and less popular.
Sophomore Jayna Lobl said, “I do not like making New Year’s resolutions.” Jayna said that she believes all things happen for a reason, so why not just let things happen.
According to Huffington Post, New Year’s resolutions are “rarely met” and result in disappointment.
