Last week, AP Physics 1 students competed in a beanbag launching contest in the parking lot with self-built catapults. The students built their contraptions over Thanksgiving break; they had to follow guidelines set out by their teacher, Mrs. Anastacia Murray.

Juniors Dylan Dodge, Haley Littmann, and Tiffany Netto set a new record for Mrs. Murray’s classes with launches of over 50 meters.

Junior Ron Johnson said, “This catapult project was one of the coolest school projects I’ve ever done. It helped me learn more about springs as well, which will help me on the midterm.”
