Students enjoy NCAA basketball tournament

Students have followed the NCAA March Madness college basketball tournament closely. Many printed out brackets, although nobody has come close to predicting all the games perfectly, after Georgia State and UAB won.

Sophomore John McCauley said, “I don’t know anything about basketball, but I filled out a bracket. It has done pretty well, I correctly chose Kentucky, Wisconsin, and Duke in the Final Four, but had UNI appearing as well, and Michigan State took their place.”

Sophomore Emilio De la Mora said much the same thing. He said, “I don’t care about basketball, but all my friends were filling out brackets, so I did too. I did better than I expected, seeing as I picked 34 correct out of 59 games so far.”

Even math teacher Arthur Walton has filled out brackets, keeping track of both the men’s and women’s tournaments on his board next to his predictions.
