Students in Mrs. Walls AP Literature class have begun a new way of discussing literature. They are using a book club-type atmosphere.  According to students, it’s helping them focus on the novels even as senioritis sets in.

Senior Madison Immel said, “I like the idea of having book clubs for the books we read in English class.  Discussing a book with a small group of peers makes it more interesting and fun than just reading it independently and writing essays about it.  I think it keeps us all motivated to really read our books and enjoy them.”

Each class reads different books. Examples are “The Bluest Eye” and “In the Time of the Butterflies.”
