With prom just around the corner (April 18) complete with a Cirque de Soleil theme, every year students get more and more competitive with their prom proposals.

Senior Katie Close recently received her prom-posal from fellow senior Jeremy Debatista, who spelled out prom in pudding cups. Katie said “It was a funny way to ask. I’m going to gain 10 pounds off of it.”

Senior Olivia Trevena was asked to prom by senior Christian Ladefoged, who stuffed tennis balls into a fence to spell out the question. Olivia said “It was creative. I like seeing the different ways people ask each year.”

Junior Ela Capdevila was also asked to prom recently. After receiving flowers and candy, she said,”I was expecting it, so I didn’t know what to say. So I said ‘I guess’.”
