Mrs. Togneri’s Spanish classes have been learning about environmental problems in Spanish-speaking countries for the past week. After finishing a vocabulary unit that included words related to the environment, like oil spill (derrame de petróleo) and deforestation (deforestación), students were assigned partners and told to choose a Spanish-speaking country to research.
They had to then present a project to educate their fellow students on their country. Junior Conner Reynolds said, “This activity has helped me because I have learned of new solutions for the ecological problems of other countries.”

Seniors Adam Banks and Jaxon Price along with junior Rachel Berrie present information on the ecological problems of Cuba.
