The McIntosh Debate team competed in a tournament at Jackson High School on the Jan. 17. John Hamlin placed as 9th out of all the varsity public forum debaters with a total of 114 speaker points out of 120 possible. In Novice Public Forum, the team of Brandi Jarvis and Taylor Carr placed 3rd, with a record of 4 wins and 0 losses. (The 3rd place status was determined by speaker points.) The team of Samuel Ellis and Scott Christopher placed 5th, with a record of 3 wins and 1 loss.
