Academic resources students can use to their advantage

The vast Internet, no doubt, offers hundreds of helpful websites for students. By using technology to their advantage, students can cut work time and stress in half.

Below are several useful sites for academic help.

Crash Course stars brothers Hank and John Green, the same John Green who wrote “Fault in Our Stars.”  These YouTube videos are on average 12 minutes long and can pack a lot of information in an easy to learn format. Students can learn (or even catch up on) multiple subjects, including astronomy, anatomy & physiology, “big history,” world history, psychology, literature, US history, chemistry, ecology and biology. Khan Academy is a free resource for those students who wish to learn a little more or wish to better understand a subject. Imagine a free private school and online school mixed together; then, add beautiful visual(s). Khan Academy offer classes and tutorials. Their mini-lessons can range from parabolas in algebra to coding html5. Khan Academy has both a youtube as well as a website where students can sign up, track their progress and save their work.
