Local Boy Scout troop cleans cemeteries

The scouts of troop 175 gather around the sign at the Planterra Civil War cemetery after they finished removing overgrown roots, cutting weeds and removing leaves.

Boy Scout Troop 175 spent the afternoon of Saturday, Jan. 10 cleaning three local cemeteries. These cemeteries were the Planterra Civil War cemetery, Brown cemetery, and the small cemetery off  Hwy. 74.  The troop is responsible for maintaining these cemeteries year-round.
