Freshman, freshie, class of 2018. Whichever they would like to be called, they have arrived at McIntosh High School. Freshman have come in the first day back at the bottom of the social ladder after having been at the top for their last year of middle school.

Nowadays freshman at McIntosh are not pushed into lockers. Most have only to worry about getting lost and finding someone to sit with at lunch.

Freshman Olivia Humbard said, “High school is a lot more strict, but there is a lot more freedom than middle school!”

There are only 167 days until freshmen become sophomores, and then the cycle starts all over again.
