Sophomore Andrew Alter met with Georgia Representatives Mable Thomas and Senator Vincent Fort on Tuesday, March 11.
At the Georgia Legislature, they talked about how to create peace throughout the greater Atlanta area, and Andrew presented a resolution that stated, “Soka Gakkai International is an organization dedicated to peace, culture, and education in furtherance of the happiness and welfare of all humanity based on the Buddhist respect for the sanctity of life.”
Andrew also presented the Governor with schematics for a new Buddhist Community Center.
