More than 20,000 students from 1,200 universities and 33 countries around the world attended the 2014 Passion Conference, held January 17-18 at Phillips Arena in Atlanta.

On the Passion Conference website, http://268generation.com, Pastor Louie Giglio writes, “[Passion is] more than a conference. More than an event. More than a feeling. Passion is you and me saying yes to the One whose name is above every name.”

Giglio continues, “At the heart of it all, Passion exists to see a generation stake their lives on what matters most. For us, that is the fame of the One who rescues and restores, and the privilege we have to fully leverage our lives by amplifying His name in everything we do.”

Event leaders included world-renown pastor, Louie Giglio, Chris Tomlin, Matt Redman, Crowder, Christy Nockels, Kristian Stanfill and Brett Younker with special guests John Piper, Christine Caine, Francis Chan and Hillsong United.

With a focus on human trafficking and homelessness, attendees donated over 20,000 socks and towels to homeless shelters in and around Atlanta.

McIntosh students, Madison-Grace Fennell and Paden Cordell, attended with their senior small group from Southside Church.

Madison-Grace Fennell said, “I thought the Passion Conference was amazing; there’s something powerful about worshipping in a room with thousands of other people.”

The second and final Passion conference will be held in Houston, Texas at the Toyota Center from February 14-15; a live-streaming of the event is expected.
