Music enhances learning in British Literature class
Tyler Lawhead
Mr. Abel’s English classes aren’t your average senior English classes. At least once every unit, the star actor, poet, and musician Ward Abel breaks out his 6-string guitar and plays an originally composed song for his class. These songs often interpret the subject matter being learned in a creative and unique way, and the students enjoy learning the material through these songs. Ashley Cameron of Mr. Abel’s second-period class said, “Mr. Abel’s songs are great. I love Mr. Abel!” To any juniors out there; You should hope to get this exciting English class.
