Every year, juniors and seniors visit multiple Probe Fairs to get a look at colleges and universities.

Over 100 private and public colleges and universities visited students at Sandy Creek High School on Sept. 16 to convince them to consider attending their schools.

Senior Tristan (Storm) White said that he came to the Probe Fair because he thought it was a good idea to look at his options. Tristan chose biology as his major. He said, “I am choosing biology because I know it will help me be a pediatrician.” Storm specifically came to the Probe Fair to visit the Mercer University table. He said that he is planning to go to Mercer for four years. His top three colleges are Mercer University, Emory University, and University of Georgia. He said, “One thing I am really going to miss here at McIntosh would be my close friends.”

Junior Jalin Walters said that she came to the Probe Fair because she wanted to see what other college options there were for her. She also said that she wanted to ask her top five colleges specific questions. Her top five colleges are Savannah College of Arts and Design, Wesleyan, Furman, Rhode Island School of Design, and Georgia Regents University. Jalin said that she wants to major in graphic design and minor in studio art. She said, “I’m choosing graphic design because it’s fun, and it has a lot of jobs that branch off of it. It involves my main talent: art.” When it come to life after college she said, “I mainly want to make shirts, and on the side I could do studio arts like ceramics and drawing until I start my own business.”
