With the school year coming to a close, seniors will be facing a busy last few weeks at McIntosh. Deadlines for colleges, payments and senior activities are imperative but also hard to keep track of on top of all the chaos, so here is a weekly recap of what has happened and what will come.
Activities
The 2024 senior “assassin” game has begun, with 222 players having paid to participate and as of 10:28 a.m. on Monday April 15, 143 players remain with 79 players having been eliminated. Three rules of the game are listed in the image beside, having been made to keep the game fun but still safe and manageable. Videos of the eliminations have been consistently updated and released on Instagram from the Instagram account @mhseniorassassin.
Prom
Prom is right around the corner, and tickets have entered in the final tier price, at $160. Tickets will be sold until April 18. For those buying a ticket for a guest, the guest forms are due by April 17. The form must be completed on paper, printed out, and turned into the office or to an admin by 4 p.m.
Prom shirts are also now available to pick up for those who have already bought a ticket or claimed their golden ticket, in Janet Hansen’s room before or after school on Tuesday and Thursday.
The vote for Prom King and Queen has opened and will close on April 19 at 4 p.m.
Finance
Dues need to be paid before graduation, so make sure there aren’t any lingering fees listed on Infinite Campus.
Final transcripts should be ordered by May 17 from the counseling office, which will list final grades that will secure colleges’ acceptance decisions.
FAFSA continues to have delays and it is recommended to complete as soon as possible, with the final deadline being June 30.
Events
The Spring Gala, the annual chorus production, will perform April 25-27. Consider going to support seniors on their final performance(s).
