Seniors Andrew Johnson and Claire Bertram and sophomore Owen Miller all claim different “C”s

For a few weeks, we had a steady stream of winners. The race for the “C” intensified as there were close calls and near ties. Then, for the first time, three people won the “C” contest at once. On the same day, seniors Andrew Johnson and Claire Bertram and sophomore Owen Miller staked a claim on three separate “C”s. Owen was the sole student to find the latest “C” while Andrew and Claire both discovered two “C”s of past weeks.

Although all three winnings do not violate any rules, complications have prevented the recipients from receiving their “C” in a timely manner.

In concerns of Andrew, the staff member who awards the “C” has missed opportunities to catch him during his first period. As for Claire, she has yet to inform our staff of her first period class. Because Owen and his English teacher, Maggie Walls, are a package deal and share only a fourth period class together and Journalism is just a first period class, there have been issues in arranging a picture.

However, all of these complications can be resolved and will be soon.

Students who desire to join the list of “C” winners must do following: scan through articles on this site to find the “C,” leave the first comment stating their finding of the “C” along with their name and 1st period class and await the arrival of the free Chick-fil-a sandwich coupon.

Students who do not have a first period must stop by Room 205 in the English hallway to pick up their prize and have their picture taken.
