Ye, better known as Kanye West, is a musician and producer who was born in Atlanta, Georgia and raised in Chicago, Illinois. If you’ve been on the internet for the past month, you’ve likely heard of him.

Aside from being a well-known musician, Kanye West is also known for his publicity stunts, collaborations with designer brands such as Louis Vuitton and his past marriage to Kim Kardashian. Recently, Kanye West has gone on an Instagram rampage posting things that are directed towards Kim Kardashian and her boyfriend, Saturday Night Live comedian Pete Davidson. Many of these posts include screenshots of private text messages between West and Pete Davidson or screenshots of Pete Davidson’s Saturday Night Live segments.

Kanye West has recently gone as far as releasing a music video for his song “Eazy” where Kanye is seen kidnapping and burying a “claymation version of Pete Davidson” according to people.com.

Kanye West’s ex-wife Kim Kardashian has shown fury over Instagram posts targeting her and her relationship as well as the music video made by Kanye West targeting Pete Davidson.

“Kanye has been putting a lot of misinformation regarding our private family matters and co-parenting on social media which has created emotional distress. I believe that the court terminating our marital status will help Kanye to accept that our marital relationship is over and to move forward on a better path which will assist us in peacefully co-parenting our children,” Kim Kardashian said in a Feb. 23 court filing regarding Kanye West’s outbursts.

Many of those on the internet speculate that these social media posts are to not only promote his album, “Donda 2,” but promote his “Stem Player” which is the only device listeners are able to listen to the album by. West has announced that the album will only be available through his $200 device instead of traditional streaming services such as Apple Music and Spotify.

“Song Writers have been really hurt by streaming platforms. Some say I’m the only one who can make this change. So as the leading innovator in music of the past 20 years. I’m putting my own work on the line to change it,” said Kanye West according to forbes.com.
