For the past five years, McIntosh has sponsored a literary magazine titled “MisChief,” which is full of artwork, poetry, short stories, and more that were all created by McIntosh students. This year, the magazine was released on Monday, May 15.

The topic for the 2017 edition of the magazine was the importance of creation. Over 50 students submitted pieces to the magazine. The club is sponsored by English teacher Ms. Maggie Walls. She said, “I’m glad that McIntosh provides a way to recognize the many artistic and literary talents of our students.”

The student chief editors for this year are senior Sophie Roggermeier and junior Sam Ellis. Sophie said, “MisChief can be a motivation for students to write creatively more often, and it can also give them a platform to publicly showcase their talent in this area. MisChief is an excellent outlet for creative expression, both literary and artistic.”

For the release, students who submitted work or helped contribute to the publishing aspect of the magazine met in Ms. Walls room for a small party. There were readings of works from the magazine, desserts, and friendly discussion among the students. The magazine will continue to be sold for $3 in room 214 until copies run out.
