The end of the opening night of the Women of Lockerbie was met by hearty applause from both parents and students. The successful play pleased every viewer and even brought tears to some of their eyes. The play was a true story about a plane bombing and the ensuing devastation that affected the small Scottish town of Lockerbie. The cast was small, but their convicting actions and accurate Scottish accents brought the play to life.

The play chronicles the heartbreaking loss of a child an American family suffers and the women in the Lockerbie town doing their best to help ease American sorrow. One of the main characters of the play was the Father of the child who died in the explosion. Senior Jacob Mewborn said, “It was challenging to play a leading part but definitely extremely rewarding when people felt touched by my performance. I love that I got to play this crucial character in this emotional play”.
