The McIntosh mastery band was given all superior ratings for their performance at their LGPE festival on March 17. They were rated based on their musical ability, as well as their physical appearance on stage. The band was also rated on their sight reading capability.

Sight reading is when a band is given a piece of music cold and are given a maximum of six minutes to practice the piece. Students are not allowed to make actual sounds during the sight reading process, so they air drill rhythms  and notes in order to prepare the piece.

Senior Jordan Worley said, “It feels incredible to finish my last year of band so strongly. I was really proud of all the hard work my fellow band members did, as well as Mrs. Baker’s directing.”
