Ms. Carissa Green’s visual arts students created portraits of themselves as their latest project. Students took pictures of themselves and went through the process of translating the image to paper.

Students created a grid for both their photograph and portrait. Students then began to draw the outline of the photo in the grid box on the paper and draw themselves. Once this was done students began shading and tightening up the portrait. Many students consulted Ms. Green before proceeding to drawing harder facial features, like eyes.
