Students who enjoy fantasy should line up at the theater to see “Seventh Son.”  Despite its poor reviews by movie critics, this movie would appeal to fantasy lovers.

Thomas Ward is the seventh son of a seventh son. He’s going to be trained as a spook, a hunter of supernatural creatures, an occupation that few apprentices have survived. Along the way, Thomas learns many things about life, but his focus is on who he wants to become.

Can he be both a witch and a spook? Can he love a witch? Can Thomas bring himself to kill? Will he be the first merciful spook?
