Dreamworks releases list of upcoming films
Since its debut in 1998, Dreamworks Animation has become one of the most anticipated studios of the decade. They have spawned box office hits including “Shrek,” “How to Train your Dragon” and “Kung Fu Panda.” Recently Dreamworks has annouced new films for fans to look forward to in the future.
The following is a list of upcoming Dreamworks films for the summer of 2014 and beyond:
How to Train your Dragon 2 (June 13, 2014)
In the upcoming sequel of “How to Train your Dragon (2010)” Hiccup returns with his fellow dragon accomplice, Toothless, as they discover new dragons, ultures, and an even larger dilemma brewing between the race of humans and the mythical creatures.

Based on the children’s book “The True Meaning of Smekday” by Adam Rex, the story revolves around a optimistic yet useless alien race called the Booy. In order to hide from their mortal enemy, the Booy’s invade Earth and their leader Captain Smek begins relocating the human race. In a twist of events a young, witty human girl named Tip (played by Rhianna) manages to escape and runs into a banished Booy named Oh who accidentally notifies the enemies of their whereabouts.
The Penguins Of Madagascar – March 27, 2015
Based on the James Bond-like penguins from the “Madagascar” trilogy, “The Penguins of MAdagascar” is a spin-off film that will feature the lives, and possibly back stories, of Skipper, Kowalski, Rico and Private.
B.O.O.: Bureau Of Otherworldly Operations – June 5, 2015
This film is an original idea by Tony Leondis, who is also the director. In the movie the “Bureau of Otherworldly Operations” (a.k.a B.O.O) is an agency that employs supernatural beings to help protect the human race. The story follows the newly hired officers, Jackson Moss and Watts, as they discover an evil plan by the “Most Wanted Haunter” to annihilate said agency.
Kung Fu Panda 3 – December 23, 2015:
The third installment to the “Kung Fu Panda” franchise follows Po as he faces two threats that include one supernatural being and anther that is actually closer to home.
